At just 23 years old, Alex Roy hails from Rotterdam, Netherlands, showcasing his prowess as a versatile cricket player excelling in both bowling and batting domains. Originally from South Africa, Roy has demonstrated his skills in challenging cricket environments throughout his career. Currently, he’s a key player for Kampong Cricket Club in the prestigious Dutch – HoofdKlasse League and has also made notable appearances for the Netherlands ‘A’ team.
As an aggressive right-arm opening bowler and a skilled right-handed top-order batsman, Roy has been a consistent presence in the Netherlands National Squad for the past few years, earning his place in the Netherlands ‘A’ XI during the 2022 season. Leading by example, he also captains his club, Kampong, while maintaining his status as one of the premier all-rounders in 2023.
